Beirut's The Flying Cup Club, Rufus Wainwright's Release The Stars en Roy Santiago's Broca, allemaal prachtige platen. Mooi zijn eveneens de postrock van This Will Destroy You (s/t), Fennesz & Ryuichi Sakamoto's Cendre en het angstaanjagende, nihilistische The Funeral Album van A Journey Down The Well. Blijvend. Down The Well - The Funeral AlbumA Silent Room, Spain Click here to read From Press,29 July 2007 Blog de Micho ![]() A Disaster, rather simple, effective. If you were feeling gloomy, it is the album you need to hear. I do not listen post-rock usually but this sounds well, “Please don't leave me i'm really alone” points out the musical topic of the film Irina Palm. Test a stormy weather, the drops of rain in no-claims bonus, it goes… the thunder... Noisevere, Mexico City Click here to read the whole rewiew in Spanish From Press, 19 April Absolute Noise Do worry, be sad. Try this trip, a journey down the well. Depressing violins and some scary cello. There is no arcade in their Funeral album. You can download it there. You definitely should : this band has definitely something that few bands have. Call it musical original personality. Absolute Noise, France Click here to read in French From Press, 10 April, 2007 Perimetric Perimetric, United Kingdom Click here to read From Press, 8 April, 2007 Gyeeker Post-rock trio, A Journey Down The Well has released their debut "The Funeral Album". The band uses violin and cello as the main instrument of their music. It sounds quite sad, as its title."The Funeral Album" contains eleven songs expess the feeling; being alone and loosing someone. All the instruments used inconventionally, and the use of samples are quite interesting. The idea at the beginning was quite simple; "Let the instruments cry" Gyeeker, Canada Click here to read the review From Press, 20 March, 2007 Suetkafa gives 8/10 to The Funeral Album Nowadays there are lots of bands which are just a coppy of the previous one. So listeners need something realy new and shocking. A Journey Down The Well is the thing to fullfil your needs. A band plays funeral dirges, tries to find new things in music.
